Rain In My Pocket
Jg 2/11/02
Where were you this morning
when the rain began to fall
And I waited by the phone all night baby
waiting for your call
I’ve got rain in my pocket
A gray sky full of blues
My imagination’s running wild
Wondering what you’re doing
Where were you last night
where are you today
Are you gonna be home by tomorrow
I wish you’d call and say...
I’m coming home
Ch.
I’ve got rain in my pocket
Got my finger in the dam
Gotta belly full of whisky
and to much time on my hands
I can’t hold out much longer
I’m losing the will to try
I can’t hold back the water
These tears in my eyes
There’s a rumor around this town
That says we’re history
I don’t know where it started
to me it’s a mystery
I’ve got things I should be doing
Besides minding the telephone
Places to go, people to meet
But I know I’ll be staying home
This pocket full of rain
Is full to overflowing
There’s no rainbow in sight
I’ve got no way of knowing...
Where you are
I’ve got rain in my pocket
I’ve got thunder in my head
I’ve got rain in my pocket
I’ve got an empty bed
Rain in my pocket
Gray skies full of blues
Rain in my pocket
Where the hell are you
